We are currently working on the detailed design of the Curriculum for the sixth form. It will fully reflect national educational developments and university and business priorities. We are determined that TIBHS sixth form should be a first class launch pad, preparing its pupils for higher education and then for successful careers and apprenticeships in industry, business and the professions.
Sixth form students will follow a core curriculum. This will require them to prepare for four A-level subjects, geared around pathways which lead logically towards the entry requirements of the Russell Group of universities. The pathways are likely to include sciences, social sciences or humanities, for example.
Some students will prefer to take vocational pathways. These will be incorporated into the curriculum model at the detailed planning stage.
