Tauheedul Baccalaureate

The three elements of the curriculum – educational excellence, character development and service to communities – are brought together in the Tauheedul Baccalaureate which all pupils study in addition to GCSEs.

The award recognises a young man’s commitment to his studies and to outstanding attendance and behaviour. It will also reflect how he embraces his role as a future citizen, leader and entrepreneur in the community in which he will live and to which he will contribute.

The Tauheedul Baccalaureate is a points based award that recognises:

Academic Achievement- Progress in learning participation in enrichment/leadership activities.

Character Development- Excellent Behaviour and Excellent Attendance

Service to Communities – Volunteering activity and Charitable giving

What Data is Used to Measure Performance against the Tauheedul Bacc?

Academic Achievement – by academic data collected across EBacc subjects.

Enrichment/Leadership Activities – through hours of attendance dedicated towards a recognised extra-curricular/leadership activity.

Conduct/STAR points – total behaviour points subtracted from total achievement points (net score)

Attendance – through the statistical data provided from registration marks through SIMS.

Volunteering – through hours accumulated throughout the year.

Fundraising – by total pounds (£) raised during a recognised fundraising activity.

Achievement of the award is recognised at four levels based on the total TBacc points accrued at the end an academic year
