Wear it Woolly

Tauheedul Islam Boys are proud to announce that they will be supporting “Wear it Woolly” for AGE UK on Friday 13th February 2015

The winter months can have a devastating impact on the health of many older people. 24,000 older people in the UK are expected to die prematurely from the cold this winter. One in three people couldn’t afford to heat their homes properly last year and with continuing high fuel costs, that figure could be even higher this year.

That’s why Age UK, Blackburn is asking every TIBHS pupil to “Wear It Woolly” this Friday and help spread the warmth in Blackburn. The initiative started with an assembly from Age UK to all pupils last Friday where the impact of cold winters on the elderly was highlighted.

All pupils are requested, as part of “Wear it Woolly” day to wear something warm and woolly on Friday 13th February 2015. This could be a woolly hat or a woolly jumper or even woolly socks!!
All pupils are asked to donate £1 on this day. Once again this will be the focus of our “Every kid a Quid” collection.

We take this opportunity to thank you for your kind support on all the charitable initiatives that are undertaken by the pupils and staff at TIBHS.
