TIBHS cadets treated to day of adventure

Pupils from TIBHS were invited to take part in a day of adventure and fun as part of their Combined Cadet Force (CCF) activities.

The pupils attended Altcar Training Camp in Merseyside where they learnt basic military skills.

Pupils learnt how to apply camouflage and how to use a paintball gun. The pupils, who are all members of the school’s cadet force, also took part in an obstacle course and a water fight.

The day formed part of the school’s CCF activities, which aims to develop pupils’ personal responsibility, leadership and self-discipline through the introduction of military style training and experiences.

Teachers say that pupils enjoyed the experience and relished the opportunity to take part in their first proper CCF training camp.

Majid Ditta, Principal at TIBHS, said: “The introduction of the school’s CCF contingent has supported our pupils to learn new skills, gain confidence and find opportunities for self-growth.

“Our pupils take great delight in experiencing the many activities on offer through the CCF and are looking forward to taking part in even more adventures as we develop the school’s CCF programme further.

“Thank you to all the instructors and staff for their hard work in making our CCF contingent so successful.”
