TIBHS Secure Extra Time with Champions League Academy

Pupils at TIBHS kicked off the summer term with world-class football coaching sessions delivered by the Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) Academy.

We looked to the current French Ligue 1 champions from the World Cup winning nation to inject some European flair and inspire the next generation of footballers through their Player Development Programme.

The PSG Academy is designed to educate players with the Parisian techniques, methods, mentality and overall philosophy from the club that boasts the talents of modern footballing greats such as Mbappé and Neymar.

Coaches from PSG have been leading weekly sessions for pupils, with each aspiring young footballer receiving expert tuition in small groups.

Amin Natha, a Year 9 pupil at TIBHS, commented:

“We have learnt everything from advanced ball control to wing play so far, which has allowed us to develop our skills and understand more about the tactics of the game rather than just the basics.”

Peter Richardson, PE Teacher, added:

“It’s fantastic that our pupils have been given the opportunity to learn from coaches from one of the world’s leading football clubs in order to further their understanding of football. The PSG Academy coaches value the importance of encouraging players to work together and enjoy possession of the ball, and our boys are thoroughly enjoying the experience!”
